Big female pup

The pup is bigger and really a sweetie. She has more of a poodle look, with wavy hair and a poodle looking snout. Her hair is real fluffy and soft. She is also really playful and fun, but is probably a bit more mellow than the smaller female pup. She also settles down nicely when held and loves to be cuddled.

Small female pup

This is the small black female pup that is left. She is one of the smallest in the litter, and one I bottle fed when the mamma dog had an infection. She always runs up to me and jumps in my lap and is very affectionate. She has become quite active, rambuctious, and playful now (as have all the other ones), but she settles down nicely when you hold her. She looks a little more on the lab side, with not as curly hair and more of a lab looking face.

Male Puppy

Here is one of last 2 male puppies that are left- he is such a snuggler and loved snuggling with her mommy, Charlie.

Awfully cute puppies!

These 2 yellow pups are already spoken for, but I couldn't resist posting these pictures! Sheri- your pup is the one with yellow nose and light paws and blue eyes. She is the one with the red stuffed animal.

Beasley is the pup under the tree! Should win an award I think! Jared and Katie, have fun!

6 weeks old!

Boy these pups sure are fun and playful now. They are roaming around the yard, rolling down the hills, barking at each other, and eating a ton! Every time I come outside, they follow me in a line. It is hysterical to watch! They are doing very well at using the potty on the grass! Yea!

5 weeks old

The puppies are thriving and gaining tons of weight. We let Charlie snuggle with them for an hour or so everyday, with her tshirts and diapers on, so they won't nurse. They are playing much more, growling at each other, establishing who is dominant, eating very well, and sleeping lots! They got lots of attention this weekend as lots of nieces and nephews were here for the holidays. They were bottle fed, had diapers put on them, put in strollers, dressed up, and very loved. They even were all named for fun! We still have 3 black males, 3 black females, and 1 yellow female yet to find homes!

3 weeks old today!

The puppies are really getting fun now. They are trying to walk around, stumble alot, growl at each other, play together, trying to bark, and eating like crazy. Their personalities are starting to emerge- some real mellow, some more active, some love to snuggle, and some are independent.

We had quite an interesting weekend. Charlie girl (mom) got a mastitus infection and got real sick. She was in the pet emergency room 2 times and had one overnight stay. Her fever was real high, and she was very lethargic. The doc tested her milk and it had bacteria in it, so the pups can't continue to nurse. She also is on an anti-inflamitory, which is dangerous for the pups. So, we have to feed them, some with a bottle, and some lap up milk from a bowl. They need lots of extra loving from humans now. The pups are doing great though, and although it's lots of work, it is fun snuggling with them and feeding them. Charlie is doing much better, but it's hard to keep her away from the pups!

2 weeks old- Eyes Open!

The puppies eyes began to open a couple of days ago, and most of them are now fully open! They get so cute at this stage. They are trying to walk around now- very wobbly-they try and fall over many times. Charlie Girl is still doing great with them and being a great mom- she is a licker and keeps them spotless! One of the big yellow ones even tried to get mom's dog food yesterday!

October 30, 2007 9 days old

The pups are growing and thriving and getting chubby - Charlie Girl is a great mom , very protective but loving. She lets us humans play with the puppies for a short time, then she wants them back. They still sleep most of the time, but are getting around more and getting louder! Grandma Nikki (our yellow lab- mom of Charlie)- wants to be the mom, and Charlie won't have anything to do with that, unless the pups are outside.
